SUSE Manager 3.1, the latest release from SUSE, delivers best-in- class open source IT infrastructure management with new enhancements focused on improving DevOps efficiency with enhanced management of software templates and compliance, in hybrid cloud and container infrastructures.

As a key component of a software-defined infrastructure, SUSE Manager 3.1 provides three key benefits:

  • Improves DevOps efficiency and optimizes operations with a single tool to setup and manage your container infrastructure
  • Ensures container and cloud VM compliance to hardened profiles/templates across your DevOps environments based on your own internal security policies
  • Reduces complexity and helps you regain control of your assets with improved visibility of your systems and infrastructure deployments

System Requirements

For deployment on a POWER server, the minimum System Requirements are:

POWER8 or POWER9 server certified for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3

CPU: GB dedicated cores recommended

RAM: Minimum 4 GB for a test installation. For a base installation, a minimum of 16 GB+ is recommended. For a production server, a minimum of 32 GB+ is recommended

Free Disk Space:

  • 100 GB for root partition
  • 50 GB for /var/lib/pgsql - Created by default during SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 SP3 Installation
  • Minimum 50 GB per SUSE product + 100 GB per Red Hat product /var/spacewalk
