Novell Support TID: How to enable file sharing on SLED 10

As of the writing of this article (November 10th, 20006) the current flash player plugin on SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) 10 was version 7.x. Also at the time of this writing, Flash Player version 9 was released as a beta for Linux. Since then it appears that there has been an increase in the sites running flash 8.x or higher. Therefore, this document was written for the purpose of providing an interim solution until the Flash Player is released publicly and then in turn built for the SLED platform.

** IMPORTANT ** Flash Player 9 is not and will not be supported by Novell until it is officially released through the Zen update service. Therefore, any issues you have with either the implementation and use of this plugin should be directed to the Flash Player 9 beta site.
