Since the beginning of May, the SUSE ISV team has engaged with hundreds of new ISV partners, resulting in over 600 new applications certified on the latest versions of SUSE products and listed in the SUSE Partner Software Catalog. This flurry of activity around certifications makes a lot of sense given the momentum of SUSE in the marketplace. From the last two months:
- At SUSECON, we announced the next release of SUSE CaaS Platform, our enterprise-class container management solution, adding powerful tools to simplify large-scale application deployment, incorporating an updated release of Kubernetes, and streamlining public cloud accessibility
- In October we released SUSE Enterprise Storage 5 with enhanced ease of management, improved performance and expanded features including new disk-to-disk backup capabilities for enterprise customers.
- We’ve made several key announcements related to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications, including new capabilities to help customers running workloads in SAP software approach zero downtime, and the availability of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications on the IBM Cloud
- And this week we launched SUSE Cloud Application Platform, a new solution that provides enterprises with the world’s leading application delivery platform in Cloud Foundry and the most widely adopted container management framework in Kubernetes, aimed at helping application development and operations groups take better advantage of both technologies to accelerate application delivery and increase business agility.
ISVs are certifying their solutions with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, SUSE Enterprise Storage, SUSE OpenStack Cloud in record numbers because of our growing footprint in the enterprise, and now with SUSE CaaS Platform and SUSE Cloud Application Platform, we’re working with a new ecosystem of cloud-native ISVs that offer solutions for containers and DevOps environments.
