Oracle has completed certification of the Oracle Database 12c on the recently released SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 1 (SLES 12 SP1).
Customers can achieve higher levels of efficiency, performance, security, and availability with Oracle Database 12c running on SLES 12 SP1. Using the newest version of SUSE’s reliable, scalable and secure platform; customers can efficiently deploy and manage highly available, enterprise-class IT services in physical, virtual and cloud environments.
SUSE and Oracle have worked together for more than a decade testing and certifying Oracle’s database and middleware products on SLES. Oracle’s rigorous database certification testing is only performed on Oracle and SUSE operating systems. This enables leading global enterprises to confidently architect their critical IT infrastructure based on best-in-class offerings from SUSE and Oracle.
Long-time SUSE Alliance partner Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) supported the certification efforts by providing high-performance, density-optimized servers to form a reliable cluster used by Oracle and SUSE throughout Oracle’s certification process.
