Migrating large business applications to the cloud is always a challenge. While there is clear benefit to migrating workloads, the move to the cloud also offers organisations an opportunity to rethink how technology applications can be implemented to drive better business value and increase employee empowerment. To do this, businesses need to rethink how to design and deliver large migrations for complex enterprise requirements – it’s both a technical and an organisational change which requires a shift in the business’s mind-set.
And, crucially, new cloud skills are needed in order to migrate to the cloud and create the best practices and process shift required. In fact, every year, LinkedIn analyses its data and publishes a list of the most in-demand professional skills. In 2019, cloud computing skills were once again named the most sought-after skill, with cloud-adjacent skills also high up the list.
Trusted partners, with solution and infrastructure expertise, are key to supporting smooth cloud application mitigation. That’s why Centiq, SAP reseller and HANA experts, has invested in and now achieved the accolade of SUSE Solution Partner for SAP, the highest partner accolade available. The certification highlights Centiq’s ongoing commitment to continuous employee development, as well as providing its clients with first-class strategic consultation, migration and implementation skills. Centiq’s consultation extends well beyond helping companies migrate business applications. The expertise garnered through the training programme undertaken by Centiq’s employees – and required – in order to receive the certification will prove of benefit to Centiq’s investment in automation strategies, and will empower their clients to be more agile.
