Pending actions never marked completed on SUMA WebUI even though completed on clients

A group of clients are selected and are scheduled a task to be completed. The pending actions never marks completed on SUSE Manager Server even though the task is executed on all the client servers.

For example, if the patching has been scheduled on client servers, the system details of those client servers in SUSE Manager Server WebUI shows that all the patches are installed. Hence the task status is not updated on the SUSE Manager Server.


The temporary workaround for the issue is to run the package profile refresh on those clients where the task was scheduled. To do that, click the client system details, Software tab, click the "Update Package List" button on the right side of the page.

Patches have been released on October, 2021.


The issue occurs when the SUSE Manager Server fails to read the successful message back from the clients.
