SUSE Manager Proxy system ID does not match a Spacewalk Proxy Server

SUSE Manager 3

Situation

The following error is encountered in /var/log/apache2/error_log during an autoinstallation of a system via a SUSE Manager while the client cannot access the configured base distribution of the deploying product:

Resolution

Please re-run the configure-proxy.sh script on the SUSE Manager Proxy.

Cause

The proxy was either freshly installed or it's profile deleted from SUSE Manager and this also deleted the associated system id and it's configuration channel.
