Calamari webgui shows Server Error (500)

Environment

SUSE Enterprise Storage 3

Situation

After installing calamari-server when accessing:
http://<calamari_server>/dashboard/
The server returns "Server Error (500)".

The following messages are logged in "/var/log/calamari/calamari.log":

Resolution

Make sure the cthulhu service is started:

systemctl status cthulhu.service

Start the service with:

systemctl start cthulhu.service

Cause

The "Cthulhu Manager" is not running.
