Resolution
UPDATED: Shortly after SUSE became an independent company again, registrations stopped being handled through the Novell Customer Center and must instead be handled through the SUSE Customer Center. For existing SLES 11 systems with access to updates already, an automatic update likely took care of this. For new SLES 11 systems in need of registration, manual intervention is needed.
