Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 XEN Service Pack 4

Situation

SLES10 SP4 XEN fully virtualized 64-bit guests may install and run slow when there is more than 8-GB of memory assigned to the guest.

Resolution

This is resolved by lowering the amount of memory assigned to the guest.
