SUSE®, the company behind SUSE Linux Enterprise, Rancher Prime, and NeuVector Prime, today announced Pilar Santamaria as its new Vice President of AI. Reporting to Frank Feldmann, Chief Strategy Officer, Santamaria will oversee the development and execution of SUSE’s global AI strategy.
Santamaria brings over 25 years of experience in technology and go-to-market leadership, with expertise spanning AI, IoT, cybersecurity and cloud. Prior to SUSE, she was Head of EMEA Cloud Solutions at Google, where she introduced Vertex AI. She has also held senior leadership roles at notable technology companies such as Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, Nortel and Siemens, and serves as a cloud expert for the European Commission.

Santamaria will appear on stage at SUSE’s annual developer conference, SUSECON, in June in Berlin. Alongside CEO Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen, she will outline her vision for SUSE’s approach to AI and share exciting updates about the company’s developments in AI.
