The Stage is Yours: SUSECON Call for Papers Deadline is November 30th!
Are you an IT professional, a technology innovator, or a strategic business leader with valuable insights to share? This is your opportunity to step into the spotlight and contribute to SUSECON, SUSE’s annual customer, partner, and community event. SUSECON is taking place in Prague from April 20 to 23, 2026.
The Call for Papers (CFP) for SUSECON is now open, and we are looking for the best, most impactful content from experts like you. But don’t wait; the deadline to submit your session proposal is November 30th. If your session is selected, you will be informed after January 9th. All speakers get a free pass to SUSECON.
What Makes a Winning Proposal
The SUSECON audience is made up of highly skilled IT practitioners and strategic decision makers. We are looking for speaking sessions that deliver concrete, actionable value to one or both of these groups. We are looking for genuine technical education and practical knowledge transfer.
Examples to take inspiration from:
- Practitioner Proficiency: Content rich with technical information that helps attendees become more proficient in their day-to-day work. This includes deep-dive tutorials, best practices, troubleshooting advice, and performance tuning for technologies like SUSE Rancher Prime, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), SUSE Multi Linux Manager, SUSE Edge and SUSE Telco Cloud.
- Business Insights: Real-world case studies and experiences that help decision-makers understand complex IT challenges—such as achieving digital sovereignty, optimizing large-scale cloud costs, or securely adopting AI with SUSE AI—and how to effectively respond to them.
Submission Essentials
Your session will consist of 25 minutes of presentation time followed by 5–10 minutes of Q&A. Plan your content tightly to maximize impact within this format.
When submitting, pay close attention to the following required fields, as this information allows attendees to easily find your content:
- Session Title: Keep it clear, concise, and compelling (limit 120 characters). This will be the published title.
- Session Abstract: Clearly describe what the audience will learn and why it matters (limit 1000 characters). This will be the published description.
- Session Agenda (Reviewer Use Only): Provide 3 to 4 bullet points outlining the high-level synopsis and flow of your planned content.
Tagging Your Content for Success
Ensure you accurately tag your session using the dropdown menus provided in the submission portal. This is critical for the review committee and for attendee selection.
- Technical Level: Clearly indicate the expected audience knowledge, selecting from Business Overview, Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced.
- Session Type: Identify the format, such as Technical Tutorial / “How To”, Business Insights, or Customer Experience (which must be presented or co-presented by a SUSE customer).
- Products and Topics: Be specific. Tag up to three primary SUSE Products (e.g., SUSE Rancher Prime, SUSE Edge, SUSE AI) and up to two broader Session Topics (e.g., Cloud, Security, SAP Solutions, Observability).
- Benefit to Attendee: Select the main goal your session helps achieve, such as reducing costs, accelerating innovation/digital transformation, or increasing security or compliance.
The stage at SUSECON awaits you and your expertise. See the submission guide to learn more.
