Building up the next generations of open source talent

The SUSE University Program's mission is to bring open source to students and to bring students to open source.

Opportunities await

SUSE offers many ways for students to engage more with open source. We offer the opportunity to write a Master’s thesis or Bachelor's thesis in consultation with Software Engineers working on the cutting edge of our product areas. From Linux, to Containers, Security, and AI enablement, you can learn by solving real-world Software Engineering challenges.

Earn while you learn

SUSE offers paid working opportunities to talented students under the Engineering Trainee Program. You will work directly in teams, learning from the best in the business.

Partnerships and sponsorships

SUSE is eager to form deep partnerships with academic institutions. The SUSE University Program has win-win partnerships with universities that we're proud of. We can provide that much desired practical exposure to the learning experience, provide lectures from thought leaders, advise on open source curricula and more.
