SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications 12

Even though kernel.shmall, kernel.shmmax, kernel.sem parameters are chanaged in /etc/sysctl.conf, they revert to the value before the change after a server reboot.

It is recommended to use sapconf to set recommended parameters for SAP application.
The values are changed in /etc/sysconfig/sapconf.

Note: the sapconf has been removed in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications 15.

Make sure sapconf service is running. If sapconf service is running, it will give priority to the value in the sapconf configuration file over the value in the sysctl configuration file.
