This document (000019900) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

SUSE Manager 4.1.x

For some installation environments it may be required to pass a sophisticated amount of variables to clients using the Kernel Options input field in Systems -> Autoinstallation -> Distribution. When checking the respective PXE boot entries it is observed that the configured options are either truncated or have not been written at all.

A Program Temporary Fix (PTF) is available upon request until the fix will be made available as maintenance fix.

The distribution input field contains a historical limit of 256 chars.
