smpboot reports a number of CPUs moved into offline state

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP2

Situation

A number of CPUs is reported to have moved into an offline state:

Re-enabling the CPU using chcpu -e <CPU> however is possible.

Resolution

Please update to systemd 228-150.35.1 or later, as advised in SUSE-RU-2018:0685-1.

Cause

Wrong usage of 80-acpi-container-hotplug.rules.

Additional Information

Changelog entry:

- Add dmi/id conditions to 80-acpi-container-hotplug.rules to restrict the rule that it can only be triggered on Huawei Kunlun 9008, 9016 and 9032 machines. (bsc#1078358, bsc#1081170, bsc#1075743)
