Cannot stage an SMT mirrored repository

This document (7009082) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1
Subscription Management Tool (SMT) for SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 1.1

Situation

After marking a catalog for staging within the Yast2 smt module, and then clicking on the "Staging" tab, the repository shows as never having been mirrored.

This error is also seen if "yast2 smt" is started from a commandline:

Use of unintialized value in string eq at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/SMT/Parser/RpmMdPatches.pm line 399, <STDIN> line 3 (#1)

Because the timestamp on the mirrored repository shows "Never Mirrored", it is impossible to create snapshots or do any filtering for tests.

Resolution

Apply smt-1.1.19-0.6.1.rpm (or greater), along with any other SMT related patches it needs to resolve dependency issues.
