GNOME screensaver locking Active Directory account after failed login

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 1
 

Situation

If a user incorrectly enters a password at the gnone-screensaver prompt when Active Directory Authentication is being used, the Active Directory Account is locked and the user is not able to login.

 

Resolution

Submitted a defect to engineering.
Contact Support for a PTF to resolve this issue.
