SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 SP3
Situation
Silent data corruption on Tyan 2891 mainboards using iommu with more than 4GB of memory.
This issue has been observed with Tyan 2891 mainboards on Sun Ultra 20 SunFire X2100 servers.
This issue has been observed with Tyan 2891 mainboards on Sun Ultra 20 SunFire X2100 servers.
Resolution
Up to now using the iommu=soft kernel parameter is the only workaround for the issue.
