Chief Operating Officer
Ivo Totev is SUSE's Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he spearheads many important growth initiatives, including developing new strategic partnerships for high-growth areas and driving stronger value and experience for customers and partners. He is also responsible for helping customers reimagine their businesses through clear, customer-centric product strategy, as well as building brand equity and customer engagements focused on business outcomes. Ivo has over 25 years of experience in technology and has served as President of Product Marketing at SAP, CMO and Head of Cloud Business at Software AG, as well as the CMO of Unit4.
Ivo holds a degree in electrical engineering from Giessen university of applied sciences, and lives in Germany.
Chief Customer Officer
Paul is SUSE’s Chief Customer Officer, and is responsible for SUSE’s global routes to market, including field sales, channel sales, presales, SUSE’s services, and enablement. Paul has over 25 years of leadership experience in sales and consulting and has held various executive leadership positions in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States at tech companies including SAP, SAS, Teradata, and MicroStrategy.
Paul has a Master’s Degree in Leading Sales Transformation from Middlesex University, and holds advanced leadership certifications from Cranfield University and the Centre for Creative Leadership. Paul lives in the United Kingdom.
President Engineering & Innovation
Sheng Liang is President of Engineering and Innovation at SUSE where he leads SUSE’s global team of engineers, and is responsible for the rapid growth of SUSE's expanding portfolio from the enterprise Linux operating system to the Rancher container management platform. Prior to SUSE, Sheng was Co-Founder and CEO of Rancher Labs, and CTO of the Cloud Platforms group at Citrix Systems. He started as a Staff Engineer in Java Software at Sun Microsystems, where he worked on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
Sheng has a B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph.D. from Yale University. He lives in the United States
Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer
Steve Gilliver oversees all Human Resources (HR), transformation, and global facilities, including Health and Safety for SUSE. He has more than 20 years of HR experience in the IT, media, aerospace, and construction business. He was previously Vice President of HR and Head of Talent for Micro Focus. Steve was also Group HR Director of one of the U.K.'s leading media companies, and Senior Director of HR for Dell. He has led HR-focused international teams in several large United Kingdom and United States-based companies.
Steve holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from Lancaster University, and a Master’s degree in Political Economy from Hull University. He lives in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Thomas Di Giacomo
Chief Technology & Product Officer
Thomas Di Giacomo is Chief Technology and Product Officer for SUSE, where he leads our global Office of the CTO and Product and Solution Management. His team covers SUSE’s entire portfolio of products as well as innovation priorities. He is also responsible for driving and guiding SUSE's current and future technology and solutions, and for sharing SUSE’s vision with customers, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Prior to his role, Thomas was SUSE’s President of Engineering & Innovation and was responsible for the rapid growth of SUSE’s expanding portfolio. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, serving in various global leadership and executive roles in engineering and product innovation.
Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Geneva, and lives in Switzerland.
Chief Communications Officer
April Moh is SUSE’s first-ever Chief Communications Officer and is responsible for SUSE’s integrated communications team spanning public relations, internal and executive communications, brand, events, and customer marketing. She is also the executive sponsor of SUSE’s Women in Technology employee network. Prior to SUSE, April was VP and Global Head of Communications for SAP, and she has also managed communications for Microsoft and Concur. April began her career in the start-up world, helping daring upstarts gain market share, launch their companies, secure funding, and successfully get acquired.
April has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications & Media from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and she lives in the United States.
President of Corporate Development
As President of Corporate Development, Michael leads the strategy and teams focused on SUSE’s M&A practice. He is instrumental in helping achieve SUSE’s growth ambitions through impactful inorganic investments and transactions.
Michael has over 20 years of experience across a broad range of global leadership roles, including senior management positions in engineering, product management, marketing, sales, corporate development, and alliances. Michael applies a practical and results-driven approach to building teams, creating alliances, negotiating deals and developing solutions for the enterprise market.
Michael holds an MBA from the University of Baltimore, a Master's degree in English from Western Washington University, and a Bachelor's degree in Literature from Marquette University.
Chief Revenue Officer
Shannon Williams is Chief Revenue Officer for SUSE’s Global Customer Organization. He is responsible for all commercial and sales operations, driving business cadence, enablement, and ensuring SUSE’s sales team is focused on driving pipeline and demand generation. Prior to SUSE, Shannon was a Co-Founder and CRO of Rancher Labs, a company focused on building technology for companies to leverage containers and Kubernetes. He was also a co-founder and VP of Sales at Cloud.com, a pioneer in cloud computing. Cloud.com was later acquired by Citrix Systems, where Shannon ran sales for the cloud business unit. Shannon has more than 20 years of experience working at startups and other software companies in the security and cloud computing industries.
Shannon is a graduate of Northwestern University, and lives in the United States.
Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary
Andy McDonald is our Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary, responsible for all aspects of legal, regulatory and corporate governance. He has a wealth of experience in legal affairs and governance in a variety of companies, including Interserve, Premier Foods plc, Uniq plc and Spirent plc.
Andy worked as a corporate lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer before moving into Industry. He is based in the UK.
