SUSECON 2025: Gathering of Innovation, Partnership, and Community

SUSECON 2025 in sunny Orlando, Florida, has come to a close, leaving behind a trail of excitement, innovation, and strengthened connections within the SUSE community. We are thrilled with the great success of our return to North America for this year’s event. SUSECON brought together customers, partners, media, analysts and SUSE experts from around the globe for a week of learning, collaboration, and celebration. From exciting announcements to insightful keynotes and lively networking opportunities, SUSECON 2025 has raised the bar for this marquee event.

Keynote Highlights: Vision and Innovation in Action

The keynotes at SUSECON 2025 were a powerhouse of insights and strategic direction. We were thrilled to share our vision for the future of open source, emphasizing SUSE’s commitment to providing choice, flexibility, and innovation to our customers and partners. Stories from SUSE customers and partners  took center stage, with testimonials highlighting how SUSE solutions have enabled organizations to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and drive business success. These real-world examples underscored the tangible impact of SUSE’s technology and the strength of our customer relationships.

Highlights of this year’s keynotes include:

• CEO DP van Leeuwen sharing the stage with SUSE customers to discuss SUSE’s role in ensuring customers had choice through SUSE to drive Innovation.
• Nicole Malachowski, USAF Pilot (Ret.), delivered an inspiring keynote on “Breaking Barriers,” and drew on her experience as the first female pilot to fly with the USAF Thunderbirds, and related these experiences to  leadership, resilience, pushing boundaries and thriving in high-pressure situations.
• The focus on SUSE’s expanded capabilities in AI. We showcased how our open infrastructure platform is empowering enterprises to deploy and run AI workloads efficiently, driving innovation and transforming industries. 
• The importance of cloud native strategies, with discussions on how SUSE Rancher Prime is advancing enterprise container management and enabling seamless hybrid integration.
• How SUSE’s edge platform is enabling partners and customers to operate faster, more securely, and with greater efficiency.
• SUSE’s leadership in enterprise Linux and its ability to provide customer’s choice and confidence in managing and securing their complex Linux estates. 

Major Announcements: Shaping the Future of Open Source

SUSECON 2025 was packed with exciting announcements that reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and customer’s priorities. We unveiled several key updates and advancements across our product portfolio:

• SUSE AI Expansion: We announced new capabilities for SUSE AI, demonstrating our commitment to providing an open infrastructure platform for deploying and running AI workloads. This expansion will empower enterprises to leverage AI for innovation and transformation. SUSE also unveiled a strategic partnership with Infosys to develop a new solution for companies of all sizes to easily get started with AI. 
• SUSE Rancher Prime Innovations: Advancements in virtualization, observability, security, developer experience, and SaaS offerings were unveiled, solidifying SUSE as the enterprise container management platform of choice. These innovations are designed to help enterprises streamline their cloud native strategies and achieve greater efficiency.
• SUSE Rancher for SAP applications: A cutting-edge solution was introduced to enable businesses to bridge their systems and cloud solutions from SAP anywhere. This integration will simplify hybrid environments and enhance operational agility.
• Enterprise Linux Advancements: We reinforced our commitment to supporting customers with an open and ecosystem-first approach by delivering new advancements in Enterprise Linux. These enhancements provide greater freedom of choice and flexibility in IT infrastructure.
• SUSE Security Integrations: New integrations between SUSE Security and Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Security Copilot were announced, enabling automated threat response and enhancing security posture.
• SUSE Cloud Elevate for MSPs: The new SUSE Cloud Elevate Program for Managed Service Providers was unveiled, demonstrating our deepened commitment to our partner ecosystem. This program provides dedicated resources and support to help MSPs succeed.

Furthermore, we were proud to honor customers with the SUSE Customer Awards at SUSECON 2025. These awards recognized customers who have harnessed the power of SUSE solutions to redefine industries, drive business success, and contribute to positive societal change.

Community and Connection: The Heart of SUSECON

Beyond the keynotes and announcements, SUSECON 2025 was about fostering a sense of community and connection. The event provided numerous opportunities for attendees to network, share ideas, and learn from each other. Also, it would not be a proper SUSECON without some fun! This year we enjoyed a live performance from the SUSE Band and we celebrated at the SUSECON party, held at the Universal Studios “City Walk”, with delicious food and lively music.
