SUSE Partner Engineering Releases YES System Certification Kit v10.
On Nov. 4th, SUSE successfully launched SUSE Linux Enterprise 16.0 and SL Micro 6.2. In a coordinated release, SUSE Partner Engineering launched the new System Certification Kit (SCK) 10.0!
Thanks to early cooperation with our SUSE Tier-1 IHV partners, SUSE launched with an unprecedented 345 SLE 16 YES Certified systems that are currently listed in the YES Certification catalog. In addition, we have 278 YES bulletins listing support for SL Micro 6.2.
The SCK 10.0 replaces the previously released SCK 9.2 and has now been rolled out to our Tier-2 hardware partners to continue building on this success.
SCK 10.0 continues support for system certification of all SUSE Linux supported architectures:
- x86_64
- Arm®
- IBM® Power®
- IBM Z® / LinuxONE
This new release of the SCK supports certification of servers, edge devices/servers, workstations, desktops, laptops, point-of-service systems, virtualization hosts, and third-party hypervisors. Any device requiring a robust Linux operating system can likely be YES Certified.
This effort is crucial for our business, as it helps drive adoption of the SUSE ecosystem, while helping our hardware partners confidently sell and promote their products with SLE 16 and SL Micro 6.2.
You can see the growing list of certified systems on the YES Certified Bulletin search here: https://www.suse.com/yesCertified/
Note: SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP6 will move into LTSS phase on Dec. 31, 2025. All Bulletins submitted after this date will be Restricted.
A huge thank you to the SLE Engineering team, Partner Engineering team, QA and all other teams involved in making this a successful launch.
Best regards,
SUSE Partner Engineering
