Last week, Troy Topnik and I presented a webinar on how to boost developer productivity with SUSE Cloud Application Platform — our modern application delivery platform that brings an advanced cloud native developer experience to Kubernetes and enables fast and efficient delivery of cloud native applications at scale. Developers can serve themselves and get apps […]

At the recent Cloud Foundry Summit EU in the Netherlands, Vlad Iovanov and Ettore Di Giacinto of SUSE presented a talk about Eirini — a project that allows the deployment and management of applications on Kubernetes using the Cloud Foundry Platform. They introduced eirinix — a framework that allows developers to extend Eirini. Eirinix is […]

At the recent Cloud Foundry Summit EU in the Netherlands, Ignacio Gomez of SUSE presented a brief lightning talk explaining how SUSE continues to combine the best of the two leading open source application platforms in the industry — Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes. Through projects like Quarks, Eirini, and Stratos, SUSE is fusing the mature […]

At the recent Cloud Foundry Summit EU in the Netherlands, Jeff Hobbs of SUSE participated in a re-named “Will it Blend?” panel discussion, talking about whether Kubernetes is the future of Cloud Foundry and how other technologies could potentially be integrated. It seems that Kubernetes and Cloud Foundry did indeed blend and the future is […]

At the recent Cloud Foundry Summit in Philadephia, Ignacio Gomez of SUSE gave a brief lightning talk to update attendees on SUSE’s progress in merging the developer experience of Cloud Foundry and the operator experience of Kubernetes. Cloud Foundry Foundation has posted all recorded talks form CF Summit on YouTube. Check them out if you […]

At the recent Cloud Foundry Summit in Philadephia, Troy Topnik of SUSE and Enrique Encalada of IBM discussed the progress being made on cf-operator, a project that’s part of the CF Containerization proposal. They show what the operator can do and how Cloud Foundry deployments can be managed with it. They also delve deeper, and […]

At the recent SUSECON conference in Nashville, Nicolas Christener and Lucas Bickel from our partner, Adfinis SyGroup AG, talked about their experience deploying and running SUSE Cloud Application Platform at the Swiss Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication. They talk about the journey from containers to Cloud Foundry and what Cloud Foundry offers […]

IT has been transforming amazingly quickly for the past few years, particularly with the rise of Docker and containers in general. As businesses begin to modernize their IT infrastructure and re-architect existing (or create new) applications using microservices, they are turning to containers, which are much smaller and more portable that virtual machines. As […]

Do you want to learn about building applications with containers on AWS? Or, would you rather learn more about SUSE Cloud Application Platform? How about learning how Wipro modernizes application delivery for the retail industry? Or how about all three? I recently had the pleasure of presenting SUSE Cloud Application Platform in a […]

When I wrote two weeks ago that SUSE will be busy at the Cloud Foundry Summit EU, I didn’t fully grasp exactly how busy we’d actually be. The Cloud Foundry Summit just seems to get bigger and better every year. With that comes more scheduled and impromptu meetings, discussions, and opportunities to learn and share. […]

I hope you can join SUSE on October 9-11 at the Cloud Foundry Summit and Unconference in Basel, Switzerland where we’ll demonstrate our latest work on integrating Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes. You may know that SUSE Cloud Application Platform, our modern application delivery solution, is already containerized and already runs inside Kubernetes, but we’ll have even more to […]
