SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension Prerequisites

SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension is an affordable, integrated clustering solution for both physical and virtual Linux systems. It helps you maintain business continuity, protect data integrity, and reduce unplanned downtime. More specifically, it is an add-on product to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3. Contained in the High Availability Extension's electronic download media are all of the essential open source components required for clustering Linux servers—the messaging layer, membership layer, cluster resource management software, cluster file system, clustered logical volume manager, data replication tool, resource agents, etc.

In order to install, configure and use the current High Availability Extension, you must first install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3, and then install the high availability clustering and data replication packages.

If you do not have a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3 installation, you can either purchase one or download an evaluation copy. Please make sure you have a current, up to date SUSE Linux Enterprise Server installation before you install the High Availability Extension. Please remember to apply all available maintenance patches and updates.

How to Use Your Activation Code
