Hardware Component Exchange Table

Low level components are an integral part of any system and/or motherboard.

These components include system firmware, CPUs, memory, adapters, etc. When a component is changed in a system configuration, the resulting configuration may still be YES Certified based on the criteria listed in each table and the issuance of a new bulletin may be possible.

Some configuration changes require re-certification. In cases where no additional testing is required for a configuration change, a new 3C bulletin may be issued reflecting the change. If the exchanged component uses a different driver than the parent bulletin, retesting is required but the change may be eligible for reduced testing per tables below.

The tables on the following pages define configuration changes, which may or may not require re-certification. This information applies to YES Certified systems with SUSE Linux Enterprise products.
