Hawk console shows "Partial upgrade detected! Nodes report different CRM versions"

This document (000020776) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension 15 SP2

Situation

When accessing the cluster webUI Hawk up to version 2.6.4+git.1618478653.7272e6b6-3.30.2 and pacemaker up to version 2.0.4+20200616.2deceaa3a-3.15.1 it shows following error message:

Partial upgrade detected! Nodes report different CRM versions: <node1-name> = 3.3.0; <node3-name> = 3.0.13

Resolution

Fixed with maintenance update:
SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability 15-SP2 pacemaker-2.0.4+20200616.2deceaa3a-150200.3.21.3

Cause

Hawk detects a partial upgrade by looking at these crm_feature_set attributes. For example node1 and node2 have lrm_rsc_op entries with 3.3.0 but node3 with 3.0.13 and therefore a warning is reported.
