Environment
Situation
For example for the language en_US you would like to have the language encoding set to:
ISO-8859-1You try to specify this in autoyast via:
But this give you a completely different language and encoding after the installation.
< language>en_US.ISO-8859-1
en_US
Resolution
The setting:
en_US.ISO-8859-1is considered to be invalid by autoyast and a default language will be used instead.
You can only specify a language that way, e.g.:
en_US
would be a valid setting.
In order to enforce a specific encoding after the installation you can edit the file:
/etc/sysconfig/language
and set RC_LANG manually, e.g.:
RC_LANG="en_US.ISO-8859-1"
