Trust Matters

SUSE’s success in employee, social and environment matters is supported by a commitment to business integrity, keeping us compliant and ethical in how we conduct business.

This includes stronger policies and commitments to governance, sustainable procurement, privacy and data security.

Governance & Compliance

  • SUSE’s Management Board determines our strategic direction and ensures our ESG strategy is aligned and implemented appropriately.
  • As part of a dual management system, our Supervisory Board advises and oversees the Management Board and its strategy for long-term value creation.
  • Our policy management framework manages ethical behavior policies, which ensures that they are reviewed and refreshed annually.
  • Our Code of Business Ethics (COBE) sets out standards of conduct expected, without exception, of everyone who works for SUSE. It is directly linked to our values and helps us operate our business in a socially and ethically sound manner.

Data Privacy and Information Security

  • The security and privacy of our customers are of the utmost importance to SUSE, demonstrated by our commitment to certifications.

  • ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications are the gold standard for privacy, compliance and security posture.

  • Our security approach is embedded into organizational decision making and protects SUSE as an organization, our people, and our customers.

Cyber Security Risk Management

  • Cyber security risks are assessed as part of SUSE’s global enterprise risk management program.

  • SUSE has appointed a Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) responsible for the whole organization’s security. The CISO is accountable to the Cyber Security Oversight Committee – the final governance body chaired by SUSE executive leadership.

Sustainable Procurement

  • The security and resilience of our supply chain are vital to the success of our business.

  • SUSE’s procurement processes are informed by our Supplier Code of Business Ethics which asks suppliers to confirm they have appropriate policies in place that comply with local laws.

  • A new Sustainable Procurement Policy is included in the Supplier Code of Business Ethics (Supplier COBE) and we engage our top suppliers to acknowledge this policy.
