Oct 28 09:25:50 ceph-node conmon[1962]: ERROR: required file missing from config-json: iscsi-gateway.cfg

Resolution

Remove the relevant Gateway service and then deploy it again.

Cause

The error is due to a bug present in the Ceph Octopus code.

Additional Information

In managed mode, when a service is removed the orchestrator should add it again automatically after a short delay. To remove an iSCSI Gateway service execute:

ceph orch daemon rm iscsi.<iscsi_daemon_name>.<random_id>
