SUSE®, the company behind SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLE), Rancher and NeuVector, today announced the appointment of Tadashi Murakami as regional manager for Japan. This strategic new hire will provide SUSE with the opportunity to further establish its presence in Japan. In this role, Murakami is responsible for connecting with customers and partners and building a team to lead this effort.

Japanese organizations are gradually shifting from applications running on virtual machines to cloud native applications based on containers. Container architectures accelerate application innovation, bringing new functionality from development to production quickly. As more companies build applications based on containers, container security at scale becomes extremely important. Traditional security management tools cannot work well with containers, and most of the existing container security tools stop at just diagnostics. SUSE’s portfolio of solutions including Rancher Prime and NeuVector are designed to help enterprises make this shift in a stable and secure way.

Murakami has more than 25 years’ experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining SUSE, Murakami served as the Japan Country Manager for GitLab and Regional Vice President at Citrix Systems Japan.
