When issuing
perl -e "use SNMP;"
with perl-SNMP package you will receive the following message:
Can't load
'/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/i586-linux-thread-multi/auto/SNMP/' for module SNMP:
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/i586-linux-thread-multi/auto/SNMP/ undefined symbol: usmHMACSHA1AuthProtocol


Update the net-snmp, net-snmp-devel, and perl-SNMP packages.

This issue has been fixed as of net-snmp , net-snmp-devel, perl-SNMP

Additional Information

The perl modules for SNMP were not linked correctly againstlibsnmp, which causes unknown symbol errors when trying to useNet::SNMP.
