An update that has three fixes can now be installed.
Description:
This update for sysvinit fixes the following issues:
- Update showconsole to 1.16 to fix sysvinit service shutdown messages missing from | /var/log/boot.omsg. (bsc#1087176)
- Add -w option to last and lastb. (fate#317971)
- Use O_RDWR instead of O_WRONLY when opening /dev/tty. Otherwise, after dup2(fd, 0);, a process cannot read from stdin. (bsc#863518)
- Make it possible for sulogin to find a suitable console device even if the first one is not usable. (bsc#862078)
- Change showconsole to use newest /proc/tty/consoles API.
- Use /proc/tty/consoles if ioctl TIOCGDEV does not exist.
- Make pseudo terminal raw as it does not show anything.
- Handle more than two console devices.
- Speed up used pts/tty pair by enabling raw mode.
- Implement termios locking scheme but disable it as it may interfere with sulogin and others using the old console.
- Enable full raw mode for pty/tty pairs of startpar.
