Cloud Lifecycle Manager (or CLM, as it is commonly abbreviated) was introduced in the SUSE OpenStack Cloud 8 release in 2018. Based on Ansible and taking some of the functionality of the HPE Helion Lifecycle Manager that SUSE acquired in 2017, it supports template-oriented deployments of larger clouds that can scale out without downtime. CLM is well suited to those customers that want to operate their cloud from the command-line interface (CLI).
