New SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and SUSE Manager value enhancement offerings

To deliver additional value to our customers and partners, SUSE is including SUSE Linux Enterprise Live Patching with all new SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Unlimited Virtual Machine subscription offerings for the x86-64 and Power architectures.

The current SUSE Linux Enterprise Live Patching offerings will continue to be available for use with physical servers and individual virtual machines.

In addition, to simplify our pricing model for our customers and partners, SUSE Manager Server and SUSE Manager Proxy, along with their support entitlement will now be included with all new SUSE Manager Lifecycle Management+ subscription offerings.

SUSE Manager Server and SUSE Manager Proxy will not continue to be available as standalone subscription offerings.

Customers must purchase a SUSE Manager Lifecycle Management+ subscription offering for each instance they want to manage. SUSE Manager Server is available for installation on a physical server or as a virtual instance. At minimum of 10 SUSE Manager Lifecycle Management+ subscription offerings are required for an installation. A minimum of 10 active SUSE Manager Lifecycle Management+ subscription offerings are required for an installation and to receive support.

To meet this requirement and to simplify the ordering process, SUSE is making available a SUSE Manager Lifecycle Management+ Starter Pack (10) for 1-2 Socket or 1-2 Virtual Machine, or 1-2 Socket Unlimited Virtual Machine subscription offerings.  Optionally, customers can purchase a minimum of 10 of the single SUSE Manager Lifecycle Management+, 1-2 Socket or 1-2 Virtual Machine or a SUSE Manager Lifecycle Management+, 1-2 Socket Unlimited Virtual Machine subscription offering.

SUSE Manager Monitoring and SUSE Manager Virtualization Management will continue to be available as separate subscription offerings.
