Deepsea stage 0 fails with default-update-no-reboot in saltenv base is not available

This document (7023430) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Enterprise Storage 5

Situation

Running DeepSea stage 0 fails with the following messages:

An error occurred while rendering the stage:
    ceph.stage.0

Error description:
  - Specified SLS ceph.stage.0.master.default-update-no-reboot in saltenv base is not available on the salt master or through a configured fileserver
  - Specified SLS ceph.stage.0.minion.default-update-no-reboot in saltenv base is not available on the salt master or through a configured fileserver

Resolution

Remove the following lines from the "/srv/pillar/ceph/stack/global.yml" file:

stage_prep_master: default-update-no-reboot
stage_prep_minion: default-update-no-reboot

Cause

With DeepSea version 0.8.6 and later, the behaviour was changed to by default not automatically reboot after applying updates, hence setting this explicitly is not required anymore.
