Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 3 (SLES 12 SP3)

Situation

Running smt-register on the SMT server gives:

Resolution

As user root, run the command

setfacl -m u:wwwrun:r /etc/zypp/credentials.d/SCCcredentials

to grant the wwwrun user read access to the credentials file.

Cause

Permission problem with /etc/zypp/credentials.d/SCCcredentials
