SLE11SP2: SuSEconfig module postfix does not exist

This document (7010297) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 2

Situation

Finishing a manual configuration of postfix on SLES11SP2 using SuSEconfig quits with:

sles11:~ # SuSEconfig --module postfix
Starting SuSEconfig, the SuSE Configuration Tool...
Running module postfix only
Reading /etc/sysconfig and updating the system...
Module postfix does not exist
Finished.

Resolution

Starting with SLES11SP2 /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.postfix was moved to /usr/sbin/SuSEconfig.postfix to avoid running the postfix module each time a package gets installed. Please run /usr/sbin/SuSEconfig.postfix manually when needed.
