UnitedLinux Partners Offer Discounts, Benefits to Oracle Unbreakable Linux Partner Initiative ISV Program Participants

UnitedLinux today announced that its four founding partner companies will offer special support programs and discounts to ISV participants in the Oracle®'s Unbreakable Linux Partner Initiative. The announcement was made today at the Oracle's Unbreakable Linux Partner Initiative launch event "Power Up With Unbreakable Linux" Partner Event held at The Pierre Hotel.

UnitedLinux today announced that its four founding partner companies will offer special support programs and discounts to ISV participants in the Oracle®'s Unbreakable Linux Partner Initiative. The announcement was made today at the Oracle's Unbreakable Linux Partner Initiative launch event "Power Up With Unbreakable Linux" Partner Event held at The Pierre Hotel.

UnitedLinux is an industry initiative designed to streamline Linux development and certification around a global, uniform distribution of Linux. Introduced last week, the Oracle's Unbreakable Linux Partner Initiative dramatically increases financial and technical incentives to ISVs delivering solutions on Oracle's Unbreakable Linux software infrastructure. The Oracle Unbreakable Linux Partner Initiative complements Oracle's partnerships with strategic Linux platform providers and with hardware companies.

Specific offerings from UnitedLinux founding companies Conectiva S.A., The SCO Group (NASDAQ:SCOX), SUSE Linux, and Turbolinux, Inc. to ISV participants in the Oracle's Unbreakable Linux Partner Initiative include:

  • Support program discounts
  • Discounts on developers training courses, Oracle-focused courses and/or training aimed specifically at ISVs
  • Inclusion in companies' own partner programs
  • Discounts on certain porting and migration services
  • Joint events, such as Developer Days, with presentations, workshops and testing
  • Joint public relations and marketing activities

Last month, Oracle announced the participation inclusion of UnitedLinux in its Oracle Unbreakable Linux initiative, and in February 2003, UnitedLinux announced that all products powered by UnitedLinux 1.0 have been tested and certified with Oracle9i Database and Oracle9i Real Application Clusters.
