Fleet cluster in Wait Applied state is missing the fleet-agent

This document (000021064) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Situation

When exploring the Continuous Delivery > Clusters section in the Rancher UI, there may be clusters that are in the Wait Applied state. This is likely because the fleet-agent deployment is missing in the cluster. To confirm, explore the cluster and go to Workloads > Deployments and check to see if there is a fleet-agent deployment under the cattle-fleet-system namespace.

Resolution

If the fleet-agent deployment is missing, it can be recovered by doing a Force Update on the clusters in question in the Continuous Delivery > Clusters section of the Rancher UI.
