Situation

Is it possible to define additional static Pods to start on an RKE2 during RKE2 node initialization?

Resolution

Yes, you can define additional static Pods on an RKE2 host by placing the manifests into the directory /var/lib/rancher/rke2/agent/pod-manifests/ Any Pod manifests within this directory will be created by the kubelet, as static pods, during the RKE2 node agent startup.
