Azure SUSE cloud instances built from the deprecated images repository or registration issues

This document (7024195) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for Azure
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 3 (SLES 12 SP3)
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 3 (SLES 12 SP4)
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications Service Pack 3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications Service Pack 4

Situation

Deprecated SLE Pay-As-You-Go instances contain old cloud glue code. Deprecated images are removed from Azure Marketplace. However some users may continue to use a cloned image and still using these old images for the specific purpose. Because of that old code the instances may loos access to the regional SMT servers. As the result user will not be able to keep the operating system up do date, or install software.
