XFS filesystem corruption after update to Kernel 3.0.101-100.1

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 4 (SLES 11 SP4)

Situation

After upgrade to SLES11 SP4 Kernel 3.0.101-100.1 a XFS filesystem corruption may happen.
Typically the following messages will be logged:

Resolution

This is now fixed in kernel release 3.0.101-104.2  (June 20th 2017) patch number 13160.
