SLES11 fails to resize mounted logical volume

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11

Situation

While trying to resize a mounted logical volume with the YaST2 partitioner in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 the following message is displayed:
 
The file system is currently mounted on $MOUNTPOINT.
It is not possible to resize the file system while it is mounted.
Unmount the file system and retry resizing.

Resolution

A fix for this issue is available via YaST2 Online Update. Please ensure the packages yast2-storage and yast2-storage-lib are updated to version 2.17.75-0.1.6.
