Situation

Samba always passes the username of a user who starts a print job in lower case to CUPS backend

Additional Information

In normal case this doesn't cause any problem and the print job will be executed by CUPS. But where a PDF backend is used where the print job should be created as a PDF and stored in the home directory of the user, the following situation can happen (depends on the PDF backend):
  1. the print job will not be executed by the PDF backend
  2. the PDF backend creates an new directory in /home with the name of the user who starts the printjob in lowercase and stores the printjob in this directory.
