Security vulnerability : Kernel af_alg_release() socket protocol vulnerability - CVE-2019-8912

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 4 (SLES 12 SP4)
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15

Situation

A new kernel security issue in the AF_ALG socket protocol was published recently, where local attackers could cause a use-after-free based attack.

Resolution

SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 SP4 and SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 GA are affected and will receive fixes. 
Older SUSE Linux Enterprise products are not affected.

NIST NVD has rated this issue incorrectly at CVSS v3 base score of 9.8 and "Network" exploitable.
This evaluation is not correct, the issue is only local exploitable, which gets it a CVSS v3 base score of 7.8.
