Resolution

To address this issue please upgrade to kernel version 3.0.101-108.63 or later.

Cause

This Kernel Update contains the fix for LazyFPU (CVE-2018-3665) which triggers this.

Additional Information

According to all available data and contrary to previous concerns SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 3 (SLES 12 SP3) is not affected by this issue.

If a kernel update is not possible, a temporary workaround would be to boot the system with the kernel option:

    eagerfpu=off
