Log files are flooded when enabling audit servers

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3 (SLES 11 SP3)

Situation

When enabling audit servers /var/log/messages are flooded with:
...
audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=682035 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=682035 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=682035 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=680898 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=680898 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=680898 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=696823 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=696823 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=696823 audit: name_count maxed, losing inode data: dev=00:07, inode=705073
...
etc.

These messages are quite cosmetic and can also be filtered out.

Resolution

The issue is fixed, but there is not yet an official release. Please contact Novell Technical Support (NTS) to get a Program Temporary Fix (PTF).
