SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 4 for IBM System z
After updating the Linux kernel to version 22.214.171.124-0.95.1, NETDEV WATCHDOG transmit timeout kernel messages appear for Hipersocket interfaces under z/VM and the ksoftirqd kernel thread spins at 100% CPU.
The newly release kernel package 126.96.36.199-0.97.1 contains a correction for this issue.
The Linux kernel package 188.8.131.52-0.95.1 introduced a regression that can lead to a wrong count of QDIO error buffers for devices with QIOASSIST ON under z/VM.
The -0.97.1. corrects this. There is also a PTF of the -0.95.1 kernel at https://you.novell.com/update/s390x/update/SUSE-SLES/10/PTF/5e5f1ecd761aee73086065dec2569b2d/20120215/
