Unable to login "Error in service module"

Environment
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1
Situation
Unable to login through GUI (runlevel 5) after updating pam-modules to version 11-1.14.1
Trying to login will show the following error: "Error in service module"
Runlevel 3 login works fine
Trying to login will show the following error: "Error in service module"
Runlevel 3 login works fine
Resolution
To solve this issue perform the following steps:
- Reboot server in runlevel 3
- Downgrade pam-modules with the following command: "zypper in pam-modules-11-1.6.15"
- Select option 1 to downgrade pam-modules
- Switch to runlevel 5
