AMS swap partition size calculation wrong at install

This document (7004230) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 for PowerPC

Situation

When installing SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 on a PowerPC LPAR running Active Memory Sharing (AMS), the default swap partition size may be too small, depending on the workload of the other partitions in the shared memory pool at the time of install.

Resolution

When installing SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 on a PowerPC LPAR running Active Memory Sharing, check the swap partition for sufficient size. If it is too small, manual partitioning to increase its size needs to be selected.
